About Nick


Nicholas R. Hopkins, J.D., M.B.A. graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2021. He also holds a B.S. and Master's in Business Administration from UW. While in law school, he practiced as a student attorney in the Defender Aid Clinic, under Professor Lauren McLane, an accomplished criminal advocate and published writer. As part of the DAC, Nick handled appeals to the Wyoming Supreme Court, Post-Conviction Relief, felony drug charges, and misdemeanors-such as DUI's. He also participated in the renowned UWCOL Summer Trial Institute in the summer of 2020.
Upon passing the Wyoming State Bar Exam, he began his legal career as a Staff Attorney for the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. At WCADVSA, Nick became an expert in family law. He handled divorces, protection orders, custody disputes, Termination of Parental Rights, and Title IX cases. In the spring of 2023, Nick participated in the well-known National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Trial Skills Course, which he completed successfully.
In 2024, Nick moved back to Fremont County and opened Hopkins Law, P.C. He has a contract with the public defender's office and specializes in the areas of criminal defense, family law and personal injury.
